World's Fastest Humans was founded in 2004 by Tony Ross, son of world-renowned hurdle coach Wilbur Ross. tony, a former hurdler, track aficionado, and world-class coach himself, felt there was a void for sprinters and speed athletes. Today there exists no brand name or logo that clearly identifies athletes of the 2nd most participated sport in the world, Track and Field.
When visiting local sports apparel stores there is only a small section for joggers, distance runners, and triathletes. What happened to the athlete who sprints or runs fast? The sprinters are an afterthought similar to the way the urban consumer was an afterthought to Levi Strauss, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein. It was not until Karl Kani, FUBU, and Sean John evened the playing field in the casual wear market.
